What will be done with my students

This year, our grade level would like to attend two field trips that align perfectly with our science standards and will prove to be very memorable for students. Farmer Mike's U Pick and Naples Botanical Gardens will allow students to study how plants grow here in Florida, the different plant parts, plant stimuli, and how they change with the seasons.
Also, in science we do many hands on activities where we buy supplies like cups, potting soil, straws, balloons and other items that are used to teach different science standards. The consumable science materials fund will allow us to purchase these items for experiments to further our learning before and after the field trips.

Benefits to my students

Our students will greatly benefit from these learning opportunities outside of the classroom. While the field trip may only occur for one day, the pre and post work we will accomplish while riding the excitement of our trip will be just as impactful!
