Goal

Students will work on kindness projects throughout the year as members of the kindness club to promote a more positive and inclusive environment throughout school, community and home. Students will meet once a month together in a small group club atmosphere in my classroom as part of their leadership club. This will promote and improve speaking and social skills. The activities we will do will promote strong leadership skills, improve enthusiasm for learning, which will improve attendance. The art projects will help foster creativity, promote kindness, friendship, giving and sharing.

School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc. 

 

What will be done with my students

We will meet every Monday as part of leadership clubs. We will engage in hands on activities that will help spread kindness. We will make kindness posters, kindness, bookmarks, kindness, buttons, and paint, kindness, rocks. We will also make kindness cards and give pencils and stickers as gifts to students in the school who we notice being kind.  

 

Benefits to my students

These activities foster kindness at PLE, in the homes and in the community. Language skills will be improved by students working together in groups. Attendance will be improved by inspiring enthusiasm for making friends and positivity in school. School will be a happier place to be so students want to come. Creativity will be inspired by exposing students to a variety of art projects and materials.  

 

Budget Narrative

These art supplies will be used to make bookmarks , pins , posters , painted rocks , and thank you and thinking of you cards .
