Goal
The goal of this project is to increase student engagement and their understanding of anatomy concepts, as well as how those concepts relate to the human health.
Category
Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
What will be done with my students
Students will use the purchased materials to complete lab activities. During one activity, medical students will work with students to dissect cow eyes. They will show students various features of the eye and relate the function of each part, as well as compare/contrast with the human eye. In the other activity, students will practice first aid skills on a life-like arm.
Benefits to my students
Anatomy lab sessions transform theoretical knowledge into tangible understanding, allowing students to visualize and explore the intricate details of the human body. This hands-on experience fosters a deeper comprehension and retention of anatomical structures, bridging the gap between textbook learning and real-world application.
Budget Narrative
The items purchased will be perishable chemicals/materials used to complete the lab activities.
