Goal
Students have various ways of learning. The goal of providing Vox books in our second grade classrooms is to add support for struggling readers to become more fluent in their reading and give them both visual and audio methods of reading practice.
Category

What will be done with my students
I would like to set up a reading center in my classroom that has Vox books as one of our four reading rotations during each school day. This can provide students that struggle with more avenues for learning.
These books would be specifically chosen for the second grade classroom keeping in mind struggling readers as well as more advanced readers.
Benefits to my students
The benefits to my students would be focused reading without interruption, visual as well as audio reading, differing centers for various types of learners and excitement for reading.
Budget Narrative
As a small school, it is difficult for us to purchase items that are above the basic needs. We are a growing school but I'm hoping these books will allow us to continue to grow and develop an even stronger language arts program.
