Goal
Students learn in all different ways. Here at PME, we strive to help all students learn to their fullest potential. Students who feel overwhelmed, stressed, or just need a simple coping skill sometimes need an outlet to channel their feelings. Using various fidgets, students would be able to help calm and satisfy their sensory needs therefore being able to go back to learning within the classroom. If each teacher had their own fidget box, they could create a space in their room to be used as needed to help kids. It has been seen to help on-task behavior, support attention, and lower stress levels.

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.
What will be done with my students
Teachers will use the boxes in different ways but will include a calming corner, a positive reinforcement center, and a reward for meeting behavior expectations.
Benefits to my students
Benefits include de-escalating behaviors, minimizing stressors, and supporting attention. Once students can get past these feelings, they will hopefully have a better mindset to help achieve academic growth.

Kits are found on Amazon for $22.00. If we were able to provide all teachers a kit, it would come to $1100.00.
