Goal

Our goal is to purchase an annual subscription to Brainpop and Brainpop Jr. These resources have been invaluable in the past, and we aim to continue utilizing them by renewing our subscription. This year, our school has grown significantly, with many new students who speak Spanish. We hope to add Brainpop ELL to our suite this year. It offers 90 scaffolded lessons designed to build vocabulary and grammar skills for English learners at all levels. These lessons will greatly aid our students in learning English more quickly

What will be done with my students

This Brainpop Suite provides short educational videos on a wide range of topics, accompanied by extension activities and printables for each video in English and Spanish. Each video includes its own lesson and extension plan, suitable for individual, small group, or whole-class instruction. The Brainpop Suite offers students an alternative method of learning that, when used effectively, serves as a powerful educational tool, enhancing and supporting teacher-led lessons. 

 

Benefits to my students

The videos are cross-curricular and serve as a valuable resource for both introductory and reinforcement lessons. Each lesson is aligned with academic standards, providing support for teachers. The Brainpop Suite is particularly helpful in addressing technology topics like Digital Citizenship, Digital Publishing, Internet Safety, Introduction to Computer Parts, Coding, and Computer Programming.
