Goal

The goal of my project is to give students hands-on opportunities to engage in STEAM activities. Participation in STEAM learning will help build math and science skills organically.

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc. 

 

What will be done with my students

This project will get students excited about science and math. I would love for it to help plant the seeds to inspire the next generation of scientists.

Some benefits of STEAM education include:
*Experiential learning: Students learn by doing, which is more effective than passive learning.
*Real-life skills: STEAM emphasizes practical skills like emotional, social, and communication abilities.
*Collaboration and creativity: Ideal for team projects and group problem solving.
*Holistic approach: Helps students see subjects as parts of a greater whole.
*New skills: Encourages creativity, confidence, problem-solving, and collaboration. 

 

Benefits to my students

As a result of regular STEAM activities, students' test scores will increase in the following ways:
*Achievement on the STAR math assessment will increase 25% from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
*Achievement on the I-Ready math diagnostic will increase 25% from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
*Achievement on the district science test will increase by 25% from the beginning of the year to the end of the year
