Goal

My goal is to create an excitement for reading for 6th grade students at Golden Gate Middle School. I want to create a positive reading incentive program that motivates students to reach their goals on the Lexia reading program.
Lexia Reading is a program for our students whose reading achievement is below the proficient level. The program provides phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension instruction. Lexia helps students work independently to develop their critical reading skills through individualized, motivating learning paths.

What will be done with my students

Students will work hard to successfully complete lessons on Lexia. I will help my students create a weekly goal to track their progress. For each goal met, I will reward the students with a certificate and small prize such as bookmarks, erasers, and pencils.

Budget Narrative

$300.00 will allow me to purchase reading certificates, bookmarks, and small prized to reward students for their hard work in reading!
