Goal

My goal is to improve the literacy of my students using parent involvement. This will not only help students who are struggling with reading proficiency, phonics, and other reading skills by finding a way to get parents involved. These kits will help bring families back into the classroom in a different way.

What will be done with my students

Improve Literacy Skills: Students will learn from their parents their first teachers and gain knowledge from them.

Increase Parent Involvement: Parents and students will feel excited to come home and learn with their parents in an interactive way.

Self Regulation Skills: Students will learn right from wrong on how to act when they win or if they get a question right. 

 

Benefits to my students

Parent involvement will increase in the classroom by 15% that will be shown in a survey taken by students and parents.
Students' comprehension on reading skills will improve by 20% shown on pre and post assessment.
Students' self-regulation stills will increase by 5% shown in a survey by self-regulation and how they feel.

The "Frogtastic" Family Fun Nights will lead to improved student outcome in literacy skills and reading. Students will take a pre- and post test using questions like the ones found in the frog game.

I hope to improve involvement at home for practicing literacy skills.Data and Surveys will be taken by parents before, during and after the quarter.
