Goal

This is the 2nd part to our lab addition. We already received 3 of these wonderful tables but need 3 more to complete our science lab transformation! Our goal is to elevate student engagement and infuse a new level of collaboration into our science lab with three innovative tables. These tables are not only versatile and adaptable but also designed to energize our lab environment. Featuring sleek designs and whiteboard tops, they go beyond just holding lab equipment—they will help turn our space into a vibrant center of teamwork.

Imagine students gathering around a whiteboard to brainstorm their boldest ideas or rearranging tables for dynamic group discussions. These tables are crafted to draw students in, making science class more interactive and engaging.

Our curriculum focuses on hands-on experiments and teamwork. With these tables, students will be able to jump into experiments, document their observations in real-time, and solve problems collaboratively. We’re dedicated to advancing our STEM education, and these tables will be a key part of that transformation.

What will be done with my students

Students will use these tables to dive into group experiments, taking advantage of their modular design to form just the right team size for every project. The whiteboard tops will turn each table into a live brainstorming hub where students can jot down ideas, sketch diagrams, and track their experimental progress. With tables that can be rearranged to fit any classroom setup, teachers can switch things up from individual workstations to large group configurations without breaking a sweat. These activities will seamlessly integrate into our curriculum’s focus on inquiry-based learning. These tables are like a canvas for creativity. They invite students to explore different setups, sketch out their ideas, and collaborate in new ways. It’s a space where creativity and scientific inquiry can mix and mingle. These tables are built to last, and they’re more than just a temporary fix. They’ll continue to support our curriculum and adapt to new learning activities for years to come.  

 

Benefits to my students

The new tables will add a dose of excitement to our science lab by fostering collaboration. The flexible design will make group work a breeze, encouraging students to team up and dive into collaborative problem-solving. The whiteboard tops will let students document their discoveries on the fly, making learning more interactive and immediate. Hands-on experiments and group discussions will help students get a clearer understanding of scientific principles. The tables will enhance students’ problem-solving skills as they brainstorm and analyze together.  

 

Budget Narrative

To upgrade our science lab, we are seeking funds to purchase three cutting-edge tables at a total cost of $1,298.64, plus $316.73 for shipping. Each table, priced at $432.88, comes with a versatile design and whiteboard tops to enhance student collaboration and engagement. The shipping fee ensures the tables will arrive safely at our school. The total budget request is $1,615.37. This investment will significantly enhance our lab, creating a more dynamic and interactive learning environment that will directly benefit our students.
