What will be done with my students

This project will benefit students because they will be able to interact with the library beyond checking out books. For example, they can learn and study using dry erase tables and walls as well as magnetic structures and table features. Therefore, cross-curricular lessons can be taught with manipulatives and, therefore, learning becomes hands-on. The more students can interact, touch, and physically connect to what they are learning the more likely they will be to retain what they are learning and want to participate. Furthermore, this project will be permanently integrated into the school learning environment, thus resulting in higher student achievement and the enrichment of learning standards.

Benefits to my students

The expected outcome for the "Interactive Library" project is not only higher student grades, but also increased testing scores and an overall improved school grade as students will be performing better in school. As a result, the benefits of engaging or interacting in hands-on learning with the "Interactive Library" project are improved/increased learning retention and processing of information, equal visibility of common learning styles in the classroom, an increase in depth of knowledge, critical thinking skills, and creativity among students, and the continued development of teamwork skills, making this project essential for all stakeholders.

Budget Narrative
