Goal
To reward students for demonstrating positive behaviors. Our goal is to reduce our major disciplinary referrals by 5% for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year in comparison to the first half of the semester this school year. Currently, 17 major disciplinary referrals have occurred. Our goal is to see a reduction and for there to be no more than 12 incidents for the remainder of the school year.

What will be done with my students
Students at our school can earn school coins daily if they are seen demonstrating and modeling positive behaviors: following directions, good listening skills, being polite/kind, arriving to school regularly and on time, etc. We have a school store that is open daily for students to exchange their coins for prizes! By having various incentives, all students can find something they would like to work towards earning.
Research consistently shows a strong correlation between positive student behaviors and academic success. According to the department of education, Positive behavior interventions and supports have been shown to be effective in reducing such behaviors. We hope that by rewarding our students for positive behaviors we will positively impact our overall school climate at LME.
Benefits to my students
To see an overall more positive school climate. We hope our students are motivated to do the right thing which will help improve the learning climate in the classrooms as well. Our school will be encouraged to focus on prompting positive behaviors and students will be rewarded by having a stocked school store filled with new prizes to earn for being kind, following directions, being focused in class, etc.

Approximately 2,500 + items to stock our school store. This includes highly requested items by students such as snacks, fidgets, stress balls, notebooks, pencils, etc.
