Project Goal

The goal is for each third grade student to design and screen print their own School Spirit T-Shirt

How Project Benefits Students

Third grade students are expected to recognize a print and know the process of printing making. The project will teach students print making, how to start and simplify a design, mask their designs and screen print. They will be able to wear their own t-shirt designs and because they can print multiple times their can share their designs with friends and family.

Expected Outcome(s)

That each Third Grade student will have a T-shirt of their own design. If funding permits they will print an extra and we will exchange shirts with class mates. Students will know what a print is, the process and how to create a design for printing.

Detailed Cost Summary

Screen is stretched over embroidery hoop. Designs are drawn on the screen in Sharpies and then masked out with Mod Podge. Once the Mod Podge is dry students with use fabric ink to screen print.
