Find It Fund It Florida - Hillsborough Education Foundation

My goal for this grant is to provide the necessary tools needed to help bring our level 1 students both in school and at home to the next level. During this unusual pandemic situation that we are all in we would like students to have their own supplies. Many students lack the required tools and the means to purchase tools in order to be successful. If I could purchase TI-30Xa calculators for each of my students to have that would help set them up for success.

Project Goal

My goal for this grant is to provide the necessary tools needed to help bring our level 1 students both in school and at home to the next level. During this unusual pandemic situation that we are all in we would like students to have their own supplies. Many students lack the required tools and the means to purchase tools in order to be successful. If I could purchase TI-30Xa calculators for each of my students to have that would help set them up for success.

How Project Benefits Students

This would benefit our students by preparing and supporting them to bring our students to the next level. It would allow students to have their own supplies and limit sharing and cross contaminating. Preparing them for success will help build confidence. They could bring to school and take home to use when needed, they wouldn't have to borrow or not do their homework.

Expected Outcome(s)

I teach students with varying exceptionalities at a school where most students come from poverty. Our class uses Texas Instruments Scientific Calculators TI-30Xa. There are only certain types of calculators students are able to use on their FSA. If i could provide each student with their own tools, they would learn how to use the required calculator for the Algebra FSA, they would have more practice utilizing and familiarizing themselves to be better prepared for success.

Detailed Cost Summary
