Project Goal

To increase academic and social skills success in our students with special needs. We will be working on standards SP.PK12.US.3.2a: Students will use appropriate social skills and strategies to interact with peers and adults across settings, such as cooperative learning, participation in small and large groups, accepting feedback, and resolving conflicts. How Project Benefits Students

The school that I work at is a Title One School. We have a large Exceptional Student population. We work very hard with our students both academically and socially. Some of our students are not always intrinsically motivated to complete their work or behave appropriately. Extrinsic rewards work well for them. We work with these students on social skills. goal setting and work completion. Through a positive goal setting plan students earn "money" on a set schedule if they meet their goals. They enjoy seeing their hard work turn into money that they can buy something they want.

Expected Outcome(s)

We have seen in the past that, positive behaviors and work completion increases as students meet their goals and earn "money" to buy items they have picked out at the end of the week.

Detailed Cost Summary

In the above Item description I put items the children picked out using a student interest inventory and what it cost per item and then how many/amount we needed. This is to get our school store started for our students.
