The goal is to provide students will just right books for them to read at school and at home.
This project will provide 6 complete sets of 110 different leveled books for students to use in the classroom and at home. These books will be used to supplement classroom materials. It allows the students to continue reading appropriate leveled books in their home. Many of these students are below level and finding books on their independent reading level is a challenge for the parents. These materials will be re-used for many years to come.
Following the implementation of these books, I expect students to gain more confidence in reading. Families will enjoy time together each night reading books on students' independent reading level. My classroom reading scores will increase as students spend more time engaged in text.
