My goal is to be able to buy the popular classroom book series for my students to read and enjoy.
I have been teaching ELA for 4 years now and I have learned that if I am able to get the students to read series then they become hooked. Once I have the students hooked on series, their reading really takes off. Reading allows the students to be more confident in themselves which leads to them become better at comprehending. The students also build a love for reading because they are able to follow the same characters on their journeys.
I expect that if I am able to get these series for my classroom that the students will be able to read them and enjoy what they are reading. Many of my students do not have books of their own at home because I work at a low income school. Getting these books will allow me to be able to ensure that all students have books in their hands to read and enjoy. I also expect that their comprehension and reading scores will go up.
$688 is from prices that are listed on the Scholastic Book Club website. Each series set has a different price as listed above.
