To provide a place where students who are feeling stress, frustration or other overwhelming feelings preventing them from learning can calm down, emotionally reset and return to class as quickly as possible.
The Panther's Den ( Wellness Room) will be equipped with a variety of comfortable seating options, fidget toys, art supplies, Kids who need to burn off extra energy can play hopscotch, squeeze squishy balls or play with kinetic sand. Those who need to calm down can gaze at a lava lamp, read a book or sit alone on a soft beanbag chair.
The Panthers Den was created to empower students to regulate their emotions. Student's in need of a movement break, mindfulness moment, or calming time outside of class will have a space to refocus their attention on positive emotions so they can return to class and continue their day successfully.
Items for wellness room and classroom tools for students with attention and/or emotional struggles.
