Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Sylvia Pheneger, Michael E Pheneger & Richard J Ellis - $537.22
The goal of this project is to introduce low-income gifted students to gardening. Our garden will be integrated into math and science lessons as we learn about plant cycles, photosynthesis, ecosystems and environmental sustainability, area, volume, and planning.
This ongoing project will provide my students a unique opportunity to have hands-on, engaging experiences while developing their sense of responsibility through math and science topics.
Students will also participate in the Cornell University Birdwatching FeederWatch Program.
This garden bed will be used year after year, so many students will benefit from this project.
