The goal is to make engaging books more accessible to students. Students thrive when they are able to select topics that interest them. This will help develop my classroom library to support readers at all different levels.
Students will have access to engaging text at their level. Having a variety of texts will help promote reading for enjoyment which in turn produces better readers. Each set will serve a different purpose in targeting students interests.
Student reading performance will be enhanced due to the variety of texts available to them. With third grade being a critical year for students with regards to state assessments, it's important to get books in the hands of students as often as possible to support their learning.
Each book set provides specific titles to meet the interests of my diverse learners.
