Find It Fund It Florida - Hillsborough Education Foundation

The PBIS program at Webb Middle School is designed to promote positive behaviors by providing incentives that students would work to acquire. We focus on reteaching behavior as it is needed and supporting students who struggle academically and behaviorally. Buying the items students need and desire is an ongoing expense for Webb. If we receive the grant of $2,000, the money will be used to purchase student treats, cost of student certificates, and items for our student "Spider Store" such as: wireless headphones, snacks, and PBIS events.

Project Goal

How Project Benefits Students

This school year, our focus in addition to academics is to provide social-emotional support for our incoming e-learners and re-introduction to the normalcy and routines of attending school in-person.
This project will benefit our students in the following ways:
1) Students and teachers will receive positive referrals stating specific character traits displayed in the classroom and outside the classroom environment.
2) Students will be recognized during the morning announcements for displaying these traits.
3) Student of the month: this is one student who displays consistently the character trait in the classroom.
4) Students will be able to earn "Spider Dollars" by displaying desirable behavior and use their earned money at our Spider Store.
5) Students can get access to the "Spider's Den" (PBIS Room) by getting nominated by their teacher or use their Spider Dollars to pay for their entry. This is a place where our students can relax and read, socialize with peers, and play games in a safe way.
6) Students can purchase items for family members or self at the spider store.
7) Leadership opportunity for our students: Students run the spider Den and the Store and in return they get to spend time developing responsibility, ownership, and the satisfaction of being trusted with a responsibility.

Expected Outcome(s)

Promote safe interaction among our students, provide our low income students with the ability to buy things for themselves, and support their social-emotional state through out a pandemic.
