Find It Fund It Florida - Hillsborough Education Foundation

The goal of this project is to bring different types of technology into the school library that some of our students have never had the chance to work with before. Our media center should be the hub of the school and in order to provide that for our students and staff we need to make some updates for our students. Media centers do much more than house books and it's important to make changes to keep up with student interests and needs.

Project Goal

The goal of this project is to bring different types of technology into the school library that some of our students have never had the chance to work with before. How Project Benefits Students

This project will benefit all students by allowing them the chance to work on hands-on projects with their classmates and teachers. This allows opportunities for collaboration as well as giving them the chance to improve their technological skills in which many of them haven't been given the opportunity for yet. This project will also open up a doorway for students who may one day work in a technology field by sparking an interest for them.

Expected Outcome(s)

I believe that both students and staff will benefit from this project. Teachers will be able to plan lessons involving different forms of technology such as a 3D printer or greenscreen, and be able to gain more student interest. Teachers will be more willing to come work in the media center with more technology available to both them and their students. They will be able to create lessons for their students that they would not otherwise be able to and allow students chances to be creative. I'm also expecting students to work in the media center more frequently as well. They will be working more closely with their peers towards a common goal, and able to create a finished product that they can be proud of. They will also learn new skills that most have not been exposed to yet.
