To increase access to instructional technology for all students.
When students have access to instructional technology, they experience increased collaboration, engagement, and learning. Instructional technologies, such as Kahn Academy, Quizziz, Kahoot and more, also allow teachers to better meet diverse learners’ needs. Students use technology daily to access online textbooks with supplemental materials and complete important instruction and assessment. However, access is limited when teachers cannot securely store, charge, and maintain laptops for students. Purchasing these Intelligent Carts will solve this problem and increase access to technology for all our students.
This project will provide two Intelligent Carts, each of which can secure and charge up to 30 devices. This quick, one-time purchase will mean increased technology access for our students for many years to come. Since the carts are mobile, teachers in shared classrooms can also share the technology meaning that this purchase will serve a large number of students over many years. These carts will also keep our laptops secure meaning we will need to spend less money on replacing lost or damaged devices. The more functioning laptops we can provide to students, the more access to technology they will have.
We are requesting two Intelligent Charging Carts at $869.00 each (shipping included).
