The goal of this project is to have access to the math and science resources provided by the site www.generationgenius.com.

Through gardening there are many science objectives that will be inclusive of their involvement with gardening. The standards cover 3rd, 4th and 5th grade as the students will be assessed at the end of the year over those concepts. The 3rd grade standard is SC.L.14.1 Describe structures in plants and their role in food production, support, water, nutrient transport and reproduction. How Project Benefits Students

My students were fortunate enough to benefit from the videos and print resources that this website created. For our energy unit, the students create "toys." After watching a video on energy transfer, many of the students were inspired by the DIY part of the video and they created versions of their own. With so many video sites available, my students frequently requested to watch these ones because they are engaging. I am excited to see that they have expanded and included math as well. I look forward to incorporating these as well.

Expected Outcome(s)

The students will make connections to what we are reading and investigating in class with what Dr. Jeff and the kids demonstrate in the videos. The students will successfully answer the exit ticket/online quiz game that is provided for each lesson.
