How Project Benefits Students

The project benefits students with the opportunity to exposure to the actual setting of Eatonville, Florida. The setting of many texts read throughout the 9th-12th grades. In addition, it provides the real-world application of where the author lived and the history of the town that is now incorporated as the first African-American, Inc town in the state of Florida. Students will experience real-world application through tours of the setting, author's home, and the town of Eatonville the birth place and setting of Zora Neale Hurston's literature that student's read throughout their high school years.
