Project Goal

To engage students in building robots and coding using engineering techniques.

How Project Benefits Students

Building and coding robots will teach my students to become self-motivated problem solvers. Technology is engaging and helps students learn important science and math skills which will result in higher test scores. Working together on a build teaches students how to communicate effectively as a team and be resilient in the face of failure. Coding encourages students to think critically and creatively about problems.

Expected Outcome(s)

The science and math test scores will increase for our students in all grade levels as they did last year. I will be entering our students in the Hillsborough County Robotics Competition as well as a Robotics Club held after school. The students will be engaged while learning important concepts in science, math and technology.
