My goal with this project is to ensure that all of the students in my band program have access to a class set of method books. These books will allow us to have a wider array of technical exercises and warm-ups that will help to hone my young musician's skills.
Students will have easy access to technical exercises at their fingertips. This will allow my students to not only learn scales, but to truly learn their way around their instruments. These books help with the following; Sound (tone production).
Articulation (styles and concepts).
Greater flexibility, agility and, endurance.
Increased range.
Individual and ensemble listening skills.
Technique in all twelve major and minor keys.
Basic understanding of music theory.
My expected outcome is to have a stronger band top to bottom. Ratings aren't the goal, but I would love to get even closer to that superior rating at my school. I know that my students being stronger technically on their instruments will allow them to play more challenging music and in turn they will have more fun. The expected outcome is a higher individual skill set that will allow the group as a whole to better enjoy the process.
