Project Goal

I would like to give my students the opportunity to work on their reading through books they choose on their level to take home and keep.

How Project Benefits Students

By receiving books on their level to take home and keep monthly students will build a home library to increase their literacy availability. This increases their interest in reading and then motivates them to learn in class.

Expected Outcome(s)

All my students will make gains in Reading. They will begin to enjoy reading and find things that interest them through reading that will not leave them when they leave my classroom.

Detailed Cost Summary

Scholastic offers $1 books or sets where it is $1 a book and in the past I have raised money to support my class to receive books monthly for $1 a book. On Amazon I quoted a set of 20 headphones for $42.95 that would help me keep students accountable for their own headphones, keep germs to themselves, and ensure their focus while using the devices. Currently our grade level is not fully staffed so I may have over 20 students in my classroom for the foreseeable future. Your support in helping keep the devices volume maintained as well as providing books for my students would greatly help this situation!
