People of the world come in many colors so student artworks should reflect our society and cultures.
Many art supplies come in multiple colors, however skin tone color is not represented in class packs of colored pencils, markers, crayon, and construction paper. Our students are diverse; art supples should be diverse as well. Art should reflect societies and cultures, without limitations.
Student artwork will truly reflect the diverse culture of Shields Middle School and the communities it serves. Students will be able to create self-portraits and family scenes that are accurate to the world in which they live.
Crayola Colors of the World
Colored pencils - 24 pencils per pack- set of 36=$193.32
Markers - 2 classpacks 80 markers in 8 skin tones=$87.82
Crayons - 2 classpacks - 20 skin tone crayons per pack-20 packs of crayons per classpack=$87.86
Sun works Shades of Me construction paper 12x18 - 50 sheets per pack - 4 packs = $26.95
Sun works Shades of Me construction paper 8x12 - 50 sheets per pack - 4 packs = $29.85
