To increase student literacy and music listening skills by enhancing books with music.
For my 1st-3rd grade students, they will be introduced to several books that, after reading, they can incorporate dancing, instrument playing, movement or theater to. This will help cultivate a love of both music and literature while also improve literacy skills.
I'm hoping to add at least 4 books per grade level to incorporate during the year. I will expect that our reading scores will improve for those grade levels.
These are all texts that lend themselves to adding music or some kind of movement or acting to. (List of 27 books)
