To increase self awareness and teach students with varying disabilities how to regulate their emotions using calming strategies.
These resources will benefit students across all elementary grade levels, K-5. My students attend a title 1 school, where access to outside services and supports may not be realistic due to factors such as cost or transportation. Teaching emotional regulation and healthy ways of coping will allow students to express themselves appropriately and effectively.
Students will be able to effectively communicate their wants and needs. They will learn how to appropriately express their feelings and show emotion. The utilization of these skills will allow for increased academic performance for my students with varying disabilities, including Autism and ADHD.
These items are found on Amazon for cost-effectiveness. All items will be utilized by multiple students and multiple grade levels. These items are highly needed by multiple students and will be used year after year.
