The goal of this grant is to motivate and celebrate the academic growth of our students in both reading and math.
This project will benefit students by providing motivation for increased academic growth in reading and math. 70% of our students scored below proficiency as measured by their grade level assessment last school year. The majority of that group is scoring 1-2 grade levels below proficiency. This project will provide incentives for showing academic growth. Student's academic growth will be monitored weekly by grade level support staff. This growth will be tracked in the classroom daily and discussed with students monthly, or weekly if needed.
70% of students will make at least one year's worth in reading and math, as measured by their grade level growth monitoring assessment.
The above includes the items we will use to motivate our students to grow academically.
