My goal is to purchase new Versatiles Math Small Group Kits to be used for math enrichment with gifted students in grades 3-5.
Versatiles are an engaging way to reinforce math skills within the classroom. I have been using Versatiles for over 10 years and my students LOVE using them! Not only are they appropriately challenging for my gifted students, but they are also aligned with state and national standards. As students solve math problems, they are actively moving tile pieces. After completing all problems, students are able to close and flip the answer case to reveal a pattern. This allows them to check their work. Activity books cover a variety of math concepts and allow for easy differentiation within the classroom.
Acquiring NEW Versatiles Small Group Kits for my students will provide an additional way for students to practice math skills independently. Students will be more engaged using Versatiles than they would be with a traditional math workbook or worksheet. By integrating new Versatiles activities into our math rotations, students will build math proficiency in a variety of math concepts.
This project will cover the cost of Versatiles Math classroom kits for grades 3, 4, and 5 purchased from Hand2Mind. Each kit will come with 24 activity books that cover a wide range of math concepts plus 8 answer cases.
