Project Goal

To increase the level of fitness and movement of the students at Lomax by providing immediate feedback as well as long term SMART Goal setting. While being used schoolwide as a connection to fitness awareness and technology pedometers would also be used with the Lomax run club. The final goal would be to have students join the Race for Education on April 2, 2022.

How Project Benefits Students

This project would help students by allowing them to set fitness goals and accurately track those goals ( steps/miles/calories per day). Student will find motivation in continued exercise by seeing their step count increase over time with the ultimate goal being the participation in a 5K race.

Expected Outcome(s)

Overall student improvement in health and fitness levels as well as practice in SMART Goal setting and long term projects.
