Project Goal

To make connection with the previous lessons on parts of a flower and how plants grow.

How Project Benefits Students

I will use this grant money for the students in my class, to plant and take care a small flower bed in front of our classroom door. The students have been very interested in planting and seeing how flowers and plants grow. This project will give them a sense of the following:

responsibility
giving back
community service

Expected Outcome(s)

My expected outcome is that the students will learn how to plant and care for flowers and plants in a garden. They will be giving back to their school community, and they will gain a sense of pride as they pass this flower garden year after year knowing that the did this.

This is the estimated cost; I will make the purchase from Home Depot and the goal is to start planting for the spring.
