Project Goal

My 4th grade science students will have fun while creating a wearable moon phase study guide T-shirt!

How Project Benefits Students

Many of my students are acquiring the English language needing lots of visuals, while others learn best hands on. This activity/project will engage each of my 90, 4th graders as they create a shirt with the phases of the moon design to wear & study IN STYLE!

Expected Outcome(s)

4th grade students are expected to learn the Florida State Standard SC.4.E.5.2 : Describe the changes in the observable shape of the MOON over the course of about a month. By creating and wearing the lunar cycle t-shirts, the students will have a constant visual of the science content they will master. This project will allow all 4th graders at the school to participate. In addition, the 5th grade students will see the 4th gr. wearing the shirts and it will provide a fantastic review for their end of the year science test!
