Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Amgen Foundation - $315.90
The goal of this project is to expose students to engaging science/stem education. This will better prepare them for the future by providing them with real-world applications. It will allow them to create, explore, and have hands on science instruction. Learning through many different modes can help students connect to the learning expectations and have a deeper understanding of content.
Our district has set aside time for our students to learn by exploring and having time to build/engineer. By granting this project, students will be using the materials several times a week. Students will be able to work with one another to build, create, and design activities based on our curriculum standards. This will allow them to experience real world examples of science in their classroom.
The project will benefit 45 students, in 2nd grade for 2023-2024. It will also benefit other students in future years, because all the materials will be reused. The expected outcome of the project is to provide students with a chance to critically think, problem-solve, work in teams, foster curiosity, and be creative while having fun learning.
315.90 will satisfy the cost of materials for this grant.
