We are excited to expand schoolwide attendance program this year. The theme is Attendance H.E.R.O. (Here Everyday Ready & On Time) Our goal is to increase the percentage of students attending school 90% of the time from 67% to 95%
-Monthly: We will honor our students with perfect attendance by highlighting them on our attendance bulletin board. They will also get an opportunity to shop at the snack cart and the class with the highest attendance each month with attend a "Pop Party"
-Quarterly: AttenDance Glow party for students with 95% attendance or higher.
-Semester: Students with perfect attendance will get an Attendance H.E.R.O. pin and a bracelet and certificate.
-Daily: Beat The Bell- A student's number will be called and if they are in attendance they can go to the office for a prize.
The goal is to increase the percentage of students attending school 90% of the time from 67% to 95%. Research shows that attendance has a significant affect on student outcomes. If students are not in school how can they be expected to learn. We have worked hard to build an attendance team and start systems to track attendance. This year we would like to improve on our incentive plan and be more strategic.
