Students in 4th Grade will be writing both Expository and Opinion writing. To build up to that, having the students listen to extraordinary narrative books will help them to become better writers. These examples will help them to hear and see what great writing is.
While writing correctly is in and of itself important, students are given the real-world task of writing for a test in 4the grade. Making it as fun and interesting as possible is the key to having them become enthusiastic about writing on their own.
Student will use both the books, markers, pens and paper to help create imaginative and original stories. This will then translate into their writing they will have to do for 4th grade End Of Year testing. This will help them carry on into later grades and expand on their abilities to be great writers.
Books will be used to show structure and good writing to students while the pens, colored pencils and the paper will be used allow students to publish and edit their own writing.
