Project Goal

For students to understand and visualize the organs in the human body. They can use this model to support their learning and add a hands-on approach.

How Project Benefits Students

Students will be able to explore and learn from the life-sized model. During the life science unit, they can touch and explain each of the organs and their functions. This will add the physical, hands-on element to a lesson that they find hard to understand. Typically students have a hard time with this unit because the materials used are mainly from a textbook and missing the physical piece. This would align perfectly with the fifth-grade standards because students need to identify and explain the functions of each organ.

Expected Outcome(s)

With the hands-on model and an abstract approach, students will be fully able to understand the human body and all the organs that accompany it. All students would benefit from it, but the students that need a true visual to understand a topic would really excel with it.

Detailed Cost Summary

The entire human body model with removable organs.
