Find It Fund It Florida - Hillsborough Education Foundation

I am excited to launch this project to recognize students for their academic growth and achievement during the school year with school-wide celebrations. These incentives are to motivate, encourage, and sway students to meet their academic goals in each of their content areas. All students will earn recognition and attend celebrations if they make growth or strive to reach their designated goals. However, recognition will be tiered based on each student's individual level of achievement. For example, if a student increases by 10% in their academic they will be recognized for that growth, and if a student increases by 70% they will be recognized with a higher level of rewards.

Project Goal

I am excited to launch this project to recognize students for their academic growth and achievement during the school year with school-wide celebrations. These incentives are to motivate, encourage, and sway students to meet their academic goals in each of their content areas. All students will earn recognition and attend celebrations if they make growth or strive to reach their designated goals. However, recognition will be tiered based on each student's individual level of achievement. For example, if a student increases by 10% in their academic they will be recognized for that growth, and if a student increases by 70% they will be recognized with a higher level of rewards.

How Project Benefits Students

When students are celebrated, rewarded, and recognized for their efforts and achievements, they are more motivated to strive for to achieve their goals. The incentives serve as a way to give students something to look forward to when they have "put in the work" to meet their goals. Our students thrive so much when they are celebrated.

Expected Outcome(s)

This grant will provide the money needed to purchase the school-wide incentives needed to motivate our students. These incentives will include snack/candy cart treats, glow parties, ice cream socials, game trucks, and a game day fair at the end of the school year in May. The expectation is that more students will strive to meet their academic goals in their content areas of science, reading, and, math because they are looking forward to being celebrated or participating in an activity designed specifically for them.
