My goal for this project is to build an engaging classroom library for my readers in all three of my intensive reading classes. I'd like to build a library with books they are interested in.
Class Furniture - Carpets, choral risers, transitional seating/desks, etc.
This project will benefit students because it will give them opportunities to read books on topics and information they are interested in. Students will benefit from having a variety of genres, including fiction and nonfiction books, to choose from during independent reading time.
The expected outcome is that students' reading scores improve because they have access to literature and informational text that they are interested in. Another outcome is that they will willingly choose those books during independent reading time to practice the reading skills they are learning in class.
The total cost for all the books would be 302.22 plus shipping if needed.
