The goal of this project is to help my young musicians develop key fundamental habits that will benefit them their entire musical career.
This project will help alter the trajectory of my young musician's career. Being a part of the performing arts without access to the money to support that passion is a tough road for anyone to walk, let alone middle school students. These books will alleviate some of the financial burden placed on my students committed to bettering their craft.
Students will develop key fundamental skills earlier in their musical careers.
-These books cover key musical terms earlier in the process and use student friendly language. (Students have working knowledge of musical language)
-The imagery used for teaching instrumental fingerings is more precise and leaves little room for misinterpretation. (Gain more instructional time due to student independent success)
-This book helps develop student's inner ear (Less pitch issues and better balance and blend within the sections and within the ensemble as a whole)
-This book covers rhythms more in-depth sooner (Students will have more literary freedom when exploring written music outside of the classroom setting)
These books will not only help my current students, but my students in years to come.
