For our school to have enough scientific calculators for every student to receive a handheld calculator during state progress monitoring assessments. Due to population growth, we did not have enough and had to borrow from a neighbor school so students were able to test with the tools they practice with in class.
Students practice in their math class with a handheld calculator. We want them to take their state assessments with the calculator that they practice with in math class. If we do not have enough for every student to have a handheld calculator, then no student gets a handheld calculator. We want students to go into state testing feeling confident with the tools they have been practicing with in class.
Every student can use the scientific calculator that they practice with in class during their state assessments.
