Find It Fund It Florida - Hillsborough Education Foundation

At this time, Graham Elementary has an All Pro Dad Chapter where father-figures are invited to monthly meetings with their students to learn/discuss a character trait (responsibility, problem solving, creativity) through a structured and facilitated session.
It is our goal to increase parent attendance by providing engaging activities at meetings and to take home to continue the discussions around character development which will directly support student academic success.

Project Goal

At this time, Graham Elementary has an All Pro Dad Chapter where father-figures are invited to monthly meetings with their students to learn/discuss a character trait (responsibility, problem solving, creativity) through a structured and facilitated session.
It is our goal to increase parent attendance by providing engaging activities at meetings and to take home to continue the discussions around character development which will directly support student academic success.

How Project Benefits Students

Meetings are scheduled monthly on days that our weekly attendance is low (wednesdays) so they are encouraged to attend and be on time to school.

"Dads" are welcomed on campus and get bite sized ways that they can assist their child at home with Reading.

Students with behavior challenges are able to work with their parent in a non-disciplinary way.

Families will have the ability to transfer their learning to home with take home bundles (activities, books, games)

The project specifically targets "dads" which is often an overlooked parent when it comes to educational responsibilities. All Pro Dad gives dads a place where they can be an active participant with their children.

We are establishing a male mentorship program with a local church, students who participate, will be able to attend with their mentor.
