Corr Elementary School is working hard to increase our student's average schoolwide attendance from last year's 89% to 93% this school year. Corr Elementary School's Attendance Team developed a monthly attendance campaign consisting of individual student, classroom and grade level incentives.
Each month throughout the school year we will have a different campaign to get students and parents excited about participating in our attendance initiative. Along with our monthly schoolwide campaign we are looking to increase parental awareness about the importance of school attendance, arriving on-time and the resources that are available to them. Education about the importance of attendance will be available to parents at all school events, through our newsletters and literature sent home.
Calendar of Monthly Attendance Campaign:
October: Classroom with the best attendance will win a class Popcorn Party (Popcorn and brown paper bags).
November: Thankful for School, turkey thank you cards. Students will randomly be picked for an Ice Cream Party. (ice cream cups, syrup, sprinkles)
December: Class with the highest attendance will be treated to a Hot Cocoa Party, Cookies and treats.
January: Students with the most improved attendance will have a snow cone party. (snow cone syrup, cups)
February: Attend to Achieve: Love of Learning. Students write or draw on heart with why they love learning. Top winners receive Goody Bags. (Heart pencils, playdough, bracelets)
March: Rap and Rhyme: Students show their talents on the morning show. (Attendance Reward ribbons, bracelet, snack)
April: Bubble Party: Punch Cards for all classes. First classroom teacher to have 5 perfect attendance days (punches on card) will get a Bubble Party. (Individual bubbles, bubble machine, large bubble maker.
