The Goal of Attendance Tater/Calvin Cougar Attendance Incentive Program is to Positively increase the percentage of students attending school daily at Kenly Elementary School.
Attendance Tater/Calvin Cougar Incentive Program will benefit ALL of the students at Kenly Elementary School by increasing their time of instruction within all academic areas. When students are in school, they are able to receive and participate in daily instruction and activities. This will increase our student learning outcomes and assist with preparing our Kenly students for life. Each homeroom teacher will be given a Mr. Potato Head building kit.(We currently have 30 homeroom classes) When a class has 100% attendance, they are able to add a part of the body to their class Potatoe head. The class that builds their Potato Head first wins a Potatoe chip party. In combination with this incentive we will utilize the Calvin Cougar Mascot to sporadically show up to classrooms at the morning bell to present students that are present and in their seat with a small reward to start their day. Our school-wide goal is to increase our attendance rate to 95% Consistently. Shout-outs will be given daily on afternoon announcements to encourage students to attend school daily and be in the seats at the sound of the morning bell.
The expected outcomes of Attendance Tater/Calvin Cougar Attendance Incentive Program is to reward students that are attending school regularly in order to encourage and promote ALL of the students at Kenly Elementary to attend school daily. As a school we are working to increase our attendance rate from an average of 70-80% to 95% of our students attending school regularly.
The total cost of this project is estimated to be 1500.00 for the purchase of the Mr. Potato Head kits, party supplies, treats, Cougar stuffed Mascot and whiteboard Easel.
