All gardening activities will be based on Florida standards. This will enhance their learning in their classrooms.
Students will learn how individual Florida residents can grow some of their own food while supporting the fragile ecosystem. The current Tampa Residential Facility garden will be expanded to include pollinator and edible landscaping.
Students will benefit by learning specific activities which they can use in their own homes immediately and in the future. They will grow collards, cabbages, onions, lemons, peppers, oranges, radishes, assorted herbs, as well as many special of beneficial flowers. They will be able to keep the literal fruits of their labor.
