The goal is to have science tools in the hands of students at all times. This will allow students to know which tool to use for their observations and will foster a love for science.
In a school where tools are limited. Grade levels have to share necessary materials for science observations/investigations. With the funding of this grant, my students will have science tools ready when they are needed. That do not have to be shared among the grade levels or even classrooms. This will help foster natural habits to use proper tools when making scientific observation.
Looking at my students' beginning of the year score, my students show a deficiency in the Nature of Science standards. Students are unfamiliar with the needed tools to understand the processes that Scientist, Engineers and Inventors undergo when conducting observations. These tools will help my students grow in the Nature of Science standard as well as in life.
This cost will give 6 kits that every 4 students will share 1 kit.
