Location is Pace Center for Girls:

One person caring for another, represents life's greatest value" - Jim Rohn.
Empathy, compassion, selflessness and hope are qualities of self-awareness and value that are not always innate, but are learned. Students having the ability to build and maintain a habitat for another instills a sense of responsibility, respect for life and their valuable contribution to life.
The mental health of our students is being worn by the worries and anxieties of induced by social media, wars across borders, family instability and the financial difficulties of life. Besides the assistance of a counselor, therapist or a huge, the gentle, warm and unconditional love a student can receive by caring for a small animal permeates beyond words, beyond culture, and beyond academic affluence.
The science of biology, earth/space, life, environmental are equally as important as the science of psychology for females ages 14-16, which is the demographic of my students (I teach at an all girls facility).
1. Students will connect with community organizations, Humane Society and Pet Resources to engage in community effort to end animal homelessness.
